Our Story

Our founders arrived at interior design from different backgrounds — one from architecture, one from product design — but shared a common frustration: homeowners in Singapore were being underserved. Quotations were opaque. Communication was inconsistent. The design itself was often an afterthought to the sale.

We built InteriorDesigner.sg around a different set of principles: that a client deserves to understand every line item they are paying for; that a home should reflect its occupants, not the designer’s preferences; and that accountability does not end at the handover of keys.

Today, we are a studio of designers, project managers, and craftspeople who work closely together on every project. Our growth has been deliberate with a focus on depth over volume, and our clients notice the difference.

Questions About the Studio

How long has the studio been in practice?

We have been designing and delivering projects in Singapore for [X] years. In that time, we have completed over 500 projects across every residential and commercial property type. Our experience is not incidental to our service; it is the reason we are able to offer the level of certainty we do on timelines, costs, and outcomes.

Can I choose my own designer within the studio?

We assign designers based on the nature of the brief and the fit between the project and the designer’s strengths. You are welcome to review the team and express a preference, and we will do our best to accommodate it. In most cases, the designer we recommend is the one who has delivered similar projects most successfully. We are transparent about this logic and happy to discuss it.

Are you a design-only studio, or do you manage the renovation as well?

We provide end-to-end service: design, project management, contractor coordination, permit applications, and aftercare. You do not need to source a separate renovation contractor. We manage every trade and every milestone on your behalf. Some clients come to us with an existing contractor relationship and wish to engage us on the design alone — we can accommodate this, and are transparent about how the arrangement works in practice.

What does CaseTrust accreditation actually mean for me?

CaseTrust accreditation, administered by CASE Singapore, means that, as an accredited renovation firm, we are required to hold client deposits in a regulated trust account, follow a payment schedule that conforms to industry standards, and maintain a dispute-resolution mechanism. In practical terms, your money is protected independently of us. If a dispute arises, there is a formal resolution pathway. It is a consumer protection, not a marketing designation.

How do I know whether we are a good fit before committing?

The consultation is designed precisely for this. It is 60 minutes, complimentary, and without obligation. By the end of it, you will have a clear sense of whether our approach resonates with how you think about your space.
