You Do Not Need a Fully Formed Brief to Reach Out

Many people hesitate to contact an interior design studio as they feel unprepared — ideas are still forming, budgets are not confirmed, property purchases are pending, or the brief feels too vague.

These circumstances are common, but it need not delay the conversation. In fact, beginning early often makes the discussion more valuable.

Collecting BTO keys in six months is the right moment to begin design thinking, as it shortens the time between possession and move‑in. For a condo renovation, an early assessment provides clarity and helps you decide with confidence. And when planning an office fit‑out with an uncertain scope, a preliminary discussion offers orientation at no cost, ensuring the project is framed thoughtfully before any commitments are made.

You do not need to arrive with answers. We arrive with questions.

Book a Complimentary Consultation

    Questions About Getting in Touch

Is the consultation really free, or is there a commitment involved?

The consultation is genuinely free. There is no design retainer, no booking deposit, and no obligation to proceed. We offer it because the conversation itself has value, whether or not it leads to a project.

Afterwards, you receive a brief summary of what was discussed. If you decide not to move forward, we part on good terms. If you do, the next stage is the design concept and quotation, which is where costs first arise.

Can I have a consultation before my BTO keys are ready or before my property purchase is complete?

Yes, and it is often advantageous to do so. For BTO projects, starting design work before key collection shortens the time between receiving your keys and moving in. From the HDB floor plan alone, we can develop a full design concept and prepare the permit application, so approvals are already in progress by the time you take possession.

For resale or private property purchases, a pre‑purchase consultation can be equally valuable. Understanding the likely renovation scope and investment before signing the sale and purchase agreement provides clarity and helps inform the financial decision.

I am worried the budget conversation will be awkward. How do you handle it?

We handle the budget conversation directly and without judgment. Budget is the most practical variable in any renovation, and we have delivered strong outcomes across a wide range of price points. We will be clear about what your budget can realistically achieve, highlight where investments will have the greatest impact, and identify where savings can be made without compromising quality.

At what point do costs start to arise?

Costs begin only once you choose to proceed beyond the consultation. The consultation itself, along with our follow‑up summary and any questions you may have in that period, is entirely free.

If you decide to move forward, the design concept and moodboard presentation include a design fee, which is explained transparently at the outset. For most projects, this fee is deducted from the overall project cost and credited if you proceed with the full renovation.

The renovation quotation, once agreed, marks the stage at which financial commitment formally begins. Every cost is made clear before it arises.

What if I want to consult with more than one design firm before deciding?

That is entirely reasonable. Choosing an interior designer is a significant decision, and consulting more than one firm helps you find the right fit.

We only ask that you give each consultation your genuine attention — bring real questions, share your actual brief and budget, and assess the conversation honestly. Comparisons made on that basis will give you a reliable answer.

If you are weighing us against other firms and want clarity on how our process differs, we are happy to address those questions directly.
